Add a little STEM exploration to your apple theme with this simple Apple Balancing Challenge! Children will use a balance scale to compare the weight of an apple slice with linking cubes or another classroom material. They’ll add and remove pieces, observe what happens to the scale and experiment until they can get both sides to balance.
Once they’ve completed the challenge, children can use the included recording sheet to show whether they were able to balance their apple slice by choosing Yes! or Not Yet!
