Bring a little fall fun to alphabet practice with this Fall Letter Smash Mat! Children will choose an apple letter card, identify the letter and find the matching letter on the fall flowerpot mat. They will then roll a small piece of play dough into a ball, place it over the letter and smash it.
Encourage children to say the letter name and/or sound as they play for additional alphabet practice. The cards can also be hidden in a sensory bin for children to find one at a time.
Both uppercase and lowercase options are included. If you do not want to use play dough, children can cover the letters with pom-poms, mini erasers, counters or other small manipulatives.
Simply print, cut and laminate the mat and letter cards for repeated use.
