Feed the Squirrel Number Game

This hungry squirrel is ready for a snack! Feed the Squirrel turns counting practice into a hands-on number game with two different ways to play.

For the first option, children choose a number card, identify the number and use tongs to feed the squirrel the correct number of pom-poms. This version also helps strengthen fine motor skills and one-to-one correspondence as children count each pom-pom.

For the second option, children count the pumpkins shown in the ten-frames and feed the cards to the squirrel. The activity includes numbers through 20, making it easy to choose the cards that best match each child’s current skill level.

Use this hands-on number activity during math centers, small groups, morning tubs or homeschool practice.
