Students will choose an ocean mat and then match the shaped fish to the correct shape on the ocean mat.
The ocean shapes matching activity will work great as one-on-one instruction, as a center or as an individual activity.
To take this activity further, instruct students to say the ocean shape name as they place the fish on top of it. Really driving home connection between shape recognition and spoken language.
