Build vocabulary and picture recognition with this simple Say It & Cover It activity! Students choose a picture card, say the word, and then find and cover the matching picture on their mat. If they come across a word they don’t know, it’s a great opportunity to introduce the word and practice saying it together.
Use the activity with the included cards, or skip the cards and have students name and cover the pictures directly on the mat. Pictures can be covered with small manipulatives or dabbed with dot markers for an easy print-and-play option.
