This colorful, fun and engaging snowman measurement activity is a perfect addition to your snow, winter or snowman theme!
Kids will be measuring their snowmen using the manipulative of your choice – linking cubes, mini marshmallows, mini erasers or any other fun idea you have!
They will then record their answers directly on the snowman measuring task cards or by using the included recording sheet.
For an added task, you can ask the children to put the snowmen in order from shortest to tallest or vice versa.
This file includes 10 fun snowmen in varying colors, facial expressions, clothes and sizes. And comes in both color and black and white.
How to set up the Snowman Measurement activity:
- Print out the snowmen task cards (there are 10, in total, across 4 pages)
- Optionally, laminate the cards – recommended for classrooms or if you’d like to use the activity more than once.*
- Provide a counting manipulative – such as linking cubes.
- Demonstrate how to complete the activity and how to record answers.
*If you decide to laminate the snowman measurement cards – the kids can write their answers on the task cards using a dry erase marker.
