Practice shape recognition with this simple apple-themed clip card activity! Children will look at the picture on each card, identify the shape they see and use a clothespin to clip the matching shape from the three choices at the bottom.
These cards are easy to add to a math center, morning tub, small group or individual activity. Using clothespins also adds a little fine motor practice as children work through the cards. For additional practice, encourage children to say the name of each shape aloud before clipping their answer.
Simply print, cut, and laminate the cards, then add clothespins and they’re ready to use again and again.
