Add this Spring Letter Smash Mat to your seasonal alphabet activities! Children will choose a watering-can letter card, identify the letter and find its match on the colorful flower mat. After finding the letter, they will roll a small ball of play dough and smash it over the matching space.
Children can say the letter name and/or sound as they complete each match. For an added sensory element, place the cards inside a sensory bin and have children search for them one at a time.
Uppercase and lowercase versions are both included. Children can also use pom-poms, mini erasers, counters or other small manipulatives in place of play dough.
